Happy New Years Eve!

Hey all!!  Happy new years eve.  Have a safe and enjoyable night!! I am still in Oregon (thankfully, or I would be stuck in Denver right now!).  I am going to one of the state schools (2 hrs away) for a big party tonight, I expect it will be wonderful fun!!
See (most of) you all soon!

On the set!

This is your faithful reporter patrox on the set giving you the hot scoop on our latest project Petbusters! First off it stars shamby’s own Tim and Steve as petbusters kicked off the force due to their unorthodox methods. Sam plays the petbusters chief who constantly busts balls. Joelio says hi, he’s the still photographer and has a cameo as the green petbuster. Even your very own patrox rumble b has a cameo as a shirtless man who hasn’t showered in 2 days. Maybe that’s just because that’s how tim and steve woke me up this morning! WAH BA DOOP BA DOOP!

Barf-andotte

Well, I’m still in Wyandotte. I am also still bored, still missing friends from Minneapolis (and Iowa), and still completely frustrated and annoyed by my relatives (who have been here since Saturday and will be here until Tuesday). All of these, of course, are of the norm. While here, we’ve been bowling twice (three games each time) and I managed to get under 100 per game except for one where I got up to 107. Which turned out to be an embarrassment to the family, since my cousin consecutively bowled a 220, a 250, then later on a 290. I have a print out of the score in case anyone wants proof.

Also while here I went to the dentist and came out victorious after finding out I didn’t have any cavities, and my wisdom teeth are not a problem as long as I’m not in pain. Bill-1, Wisdom Teeth-0. However, I (hopefully) have an eye appointment and a doctor’s appointment for a physical, which are both coming up soon. By the end of next week I’ll be totally aware of any current health issue I may have, and I’ll be ready to start the new year, (hopefully) disease free.

I don’t know what anyone else has been doing since break started, but while most of you have been sitting around and having fun and hanging with friends and family, I’ve been putting my free time to… good…… use(?). Here’s a few pictures. The first two show the painting I’m currently working on. It’s in its rough stage right now, but tons more is going to be added. I also decided to dye my hair for some reason. It’s a reddish color, and I think I hate it. It’ll wash out eventually though. I thought the last picture was funny so I threw it in there.

I fly back to Iowa on January 4th, yay! I can’t wait to see Ben and give him a big, fat kiss.

greetings from my own cutting board.

So my brother brought home this beer from Japan that has probably the coolest label I’ve ever seen. The name is Kodomo Biiru, which means Children’s Beer.

Oh Japan, STOP BEING SO CRAZY!!

I think this was Thanksgiving…

These pictures were from Thanksgiving, but since I was in the same place and was wearing the same clothes on Christmas, we’ll just say these pictures were taken a few days ago. That’s the latest addition to our family, my cousin Hannah.

Apparently I was looking pretty amazing this day.

Greetings from my own couch.

This is what I did on Christmas. After all the presents were opened and family had left, Aileen and I laid down on the couch and watched some TV. There was a lot of Mythbusters watching, maybe some American Chopper here and there because Bill Murray was on it for some reason (Caddyshack theme bike?). Then I watched Batman Returns and Danny DeVito is weird as the Penguin. Then HOLY CRAP TITAN A.E. WAS ON and I had to watch THAT because Emma and Evan had just watched it and they reminded me of what a super-awesome movie it is. Needless to say, I went to sleep rather late.

Oh, and I got a crock pot for Christmas. Eff. Yes.

GET READY FOR SOME DELICIOUS STEWS, MINNEAPOLIS!!

Friday of excitement

Ok, so we all know the scary state of un-tidy that my poor little home has been in over the last month.  well: NOT ANY MORE! (almost), and other exciting details of Angie’s Friday.

We got done with work early (Thursday, rather than Saturday – yes, frustrating for me, who just wants to go home, but the flight is already booked, and there was a huge storm in Denver, anyway…) so this morning, I relaxed all day, didn’t even get out of bed before 4pm (except to eat).

Then, tonight, I got into the holiday spirit, did a little x-mas shopping downtown, caught a little of the holidazzle parade, walked around, bought some new shoes, and other heart-warming positives.

Upon my return home (and trying on the shoes again, realizing that I got them a size too-big, and will need to exchange them tomorrow), I began the big tidy of Fall ’06.  So far, I have cleaned the bathroom (including tub, toilet, sink, mirrors, and floor), done about 5 loads of laundry (the first since Thanksgiving, yes, I can go that long without doing laundry, scary, I know), done most of the dishes (3 loads so far), cleaned 1/2 of the kitchen, and started in on my desk.  I still have a lot to do, the living room really needs love, as does my bedroom (although the laundry makes a big impact).  If that makes you tired at all, I agree!!  (I even cleaned out my wallet)

So, tomorrow, I will finish anything I don’t finish tonight, then pack up to leave.  I get to go to someone else’s family Christmas dinner tomorrow night, which I am excited for, it will be fun.  Then I will spend the night at a friend’s in Savage, who I have convinced to take me to the airport at 4am on Sunday (hurrah!!).

I dare say this post is a little long, but it is my 10th, so I think I deserve it.  (right??)

Love you all!! And I miss you, too!  MCAD is pretty quite right now… maybe have seen about 6 people milling in the last week, and most of them were public safety!

Greetings from my own car.

I drove to the Ced-Rap all by my lonesomes. Buh-woh!

King Lazers

To follow up the post from Joel, I thought I’d share a revelation from this morning at work so far. I had to make an image of a machine in a lab to re-image the one next to it. The process takes a few hours, and I run up and down checking on it. So… since we have a few iSights sitting around (3 of which still shrink-wrapped), I took one upstairs, created a dummy AIM account, hooked the iSight up to the Power Mac next to the target, pointed the iSight at said monitor, and now can remotely watch the progress and see when it’s done.
I’m pretty happy with myself.
