Do you know about moomie? She is a sort of alter ego/mini me that I created for funsies. She always wears her hood up, loves her silly sock boot slippers, and has a cat named Schmoomie. A lot of situations involving moomie come from real life, like the following….

(yes, i once whispered this question to bryan right before we were going to fall asleep. no i don’t know why i whispered it.)

So whenever you hear me say something that doesn’t quite make sense, or when I run around real fast making silly sounds with my hood up, or when I get a little tippy and give a speech that doesn’t really make any sense at space themed parties just know that it’s really moomie you’re listening to.

I serenaded you with my top two hit songs from the Billboard Charts, “We Belong Together” by Mariah Carey and “Since U Been Gone” (sorry about the grammar/spelling, I was going through a phase) by Kelly Clarkson? I took you to go see top grossing movie Revenge of the Sith and cheered with you as the New England Patriots won the Superbowl. I even held your hand while you squealed with joy when you found out that Nicolas Cage had a son, and he named him Kal-El! So why haven’t you called? Why haven’t you sent me an e-mail or a text? I MISS YOU.

some of you may have seen this totally redonk picture of my parents and myself. Well, get prepared for MORE pictures of my parents after the break!

If you have never seen it, My Parents Were Awesome is this amazing collection of sweet parent pictures (generally pre-parental phase) sent in by the children they reared. Some of them are silly, some of them are downright sassy! The discovery of this sweet site, combined with an amazing picture I found of my Uncle last year encouraged me to find some awesome images of my own.

SO I DID.

Um, I know you think your dad was the badass Katie, but it was actually my mom. Carey knows how to do the “yeah, I’m awesome” smile. On the right is a sweet photo she took of a tropical hotel room! exciting.

I wish so dearly my mom had held onto this sweet t-shirt, because I love it.

a few of you, dear friends, have been subjected to many a glorified chat between chance and I about the many MANY plotlines of Degrassi: the Next Generation. As their wikipedia page can tell you, the theme song was “…written by Jim McGrath, Jody Colero and Stephen Stohn”, aka the three most genius people on the planet.
